FEZZ AUDIO Titania Mk2
Integrated amplifiers
Notwithstanding it's only April and eight more months of 2026 to go, this integrated amplifier would easily tick all the boxes for a product of the year for me. It is the epitome of modern engineering, a singular take on tubed design that delivers pleasure for both eyes and ears. I have never heard tubes to sound so dynamic, transparent and – especially – with a sort of ultra-high-end refinement and sophistication. Given the pricing category, the Titania is an instant winner.
Function and form
I’ve never heard of Fezz Audio and it’s my own fault, because they’ve apparently been in business for over 10 years. It is a Polish company, related to Toroidy.pl, a manufacturer of high-quality transformers. No wonder that the toroidal transformers have become one of the focal points for the Titania Mk2 design. Maciej Lachowski of Fezz Audio argues that toroids have less than 10% of electromagnetic emission compared to commonly used EI-core transformers, which makes them much less noisy, a feature that is extremely important for a tubed design where tubes are sensitive for noise pickup, electrical and mechanical. The other benefit of toroids is seen in higher stability over the whole audio frequency range, with low levels of harmonic distortion. Not that a tubed amplifier is expected to be a champion in neither distortion nor signal-to-noise ratio, but it seems that Fezz Audio’s implementation really makes a difference and the Titania Mk2 can easily challenge many solid-state designs for quietness and fidelity.
The amplifier is a push-pull class AB design, with its output stage based on 4x KT88 tetrodes, and the driver stage based on 3x double-triode 12AX7s double triodes from JJ Electronic. For additional circa €200, Fezz provides and upgrade set of paired Electro Harmonix KT88 and PSVane 12ax7-s TII; this is the configuration I auditioned. Around the back, there are speaker binding posts (4 and 8 Ω taps; if your speaker impedance is 6Ω, Fezz recommends connecting the speaker wire to the 8Ω tap). Around the back, there are RCA inputs, a subwoofer output, ground lift switch for the signal path, and slots that are ready to accept extension boards that can be had separately. Fezz Audio offers an XLR module, an MM module, a Bluetooth module, and a DAC module. You can choose any two as only two slots are available.
Bass management
The Titania Mk2 is rather compact (420 x 380 x 240mm including the removable cage), rather heavy (25kg) and rather hungry (170W at idle). Surprisingly, after several hours of audio-torture the amplifier emitted less heat than I’d expect. This is good, for the stylish valve cage has a Perspex front panel and I’d be worried about whether the acrylate would withstand the heat. Time will tell.
On the Fezz’s fascia, there are two knobs - the volume controller is on the left, the source selector is on the right. The latter also works as a stand-by on/off button on which operation the milled Fezz logo starts glowing red to turn white when the Titania is ready to play. From the comfort of your listening chair, the amplifier can be controlled by a stylish remote that resembles an Apple remote. The visual language of Apple as if projected into the device anyway. Although it does not use any hi-tech materials, the design is understated yet beautiful and clean with its rounded edges, hairline fit of parts, and impeccable metallic satin finish. The Titania Mk2 is available in several colourways, check the gallery under this review. My sample was in “Moonlight” and make remarkable visual unity with my iPhone 17 Pro.
Clarity & delicacy
From the first notes I was impressed by the Titania Mk2’s sound. Fink’s Trouble’s What You’re In was remarkably natural, dynamic, and clean. The combo of the Electro Harmonix and PSVane worked magic and the background noise was basically absent, not a big difference from Ypsilon Orion mono blocks that preceded the Titania Mk2 in the system. Then there’s the bass response of the Titania. It’s outstanding, no matter what you expect from a tube amplifier in terms of its ability to reproduce deep, punchy, and textured low end. Transitions are well-defined without the usual rounding off and softening, so the sound feels dynamic and lively—the percussion and Fink’s electric bass provided a rich “you’re right there” experience, with the sound emanating from the speakers with ease and immediacy. That in itself is already a major achievement for the Fezz Audio design team.
The Titania Mk2 provides 60 watts of power per channel, and that’s something to keep in mind, especially in relation to the speakers and their impedance and sensitivity, but also to the listening room’s size. With the Revival Audio Atalante 7 Evo that were used throughout this review and their nominal rating of 90 dB/6 Ω, there was no problem whatsoever, and the resulting sound was phenomenal. In our room with a floor area of about 30m², this meant that even when playing loudly, we remained within the amplifier’s comfort zone. However, when I started pushing the amplifier to higher power levels, it audibly didn’t like it. This isn’t a criticism; no amplifier likes being pushed into levels that are beyond what it was designed for. You need to start with realistic expectations and the specific situation in your listening room.
Tonal accuracy
Through the Fezz Titania Mk2, the music has a pleasant hint of sweetness; however, it is just a touch of it that shifts this otherwise perfectly balanced amplifier a notch toward the warmer side of neutrality. The difference between morning and afternoon sun, a small spectral shift, if you will. It is enough to make the amplifier appeal to the emotions and bring out the colours and harmonies. Human voices are utterly smooth and seductive, because none of this comes at the expense of the qualities described earlier. The voices are also well-defined, excellently articulated, and completely holographic. And it doesn’t have to be just audiophile tracks like Anette Aksvik and her Liberty, though that is precisely where the Fezz amplifier’s mastery comes into its own. Polychoral works of Philipp Rogier interpreted by Magnificat choir on Linn label were not less perfect food for the Titania Mk2. The canon was magnificent, its acoustics immersive, and the voices in it were highly resolved. Titania Mk2 was superbly transparent, and it was easy to hear subtle ambient nuances of Rogier’s piece, as well as faint buzzing of the mic preamps in Liberty. I could continue with the voices for ever – Claire Martin and With Every Breath I Take reminded me of Jacintha and Something Cool (the track that I heard hundreds of times during our Power Up series) with its lush and rich melancholy, smooth delivery, amazing articulation and well-managed sibilants.
Spatial resolution
Often, there is a line for an amplifier that is hard to cross when it comes to rock’n’roll. It was not a hard line for the Titania Mk2, and I must admit it was a silly proposition from me when I tried to catch a Polish amplifier off guard with AC/DC, given how strong the metal fan base is in Poland. Boogie Man (Ballbreaker) was phenomenal through the Fezz Audio integrated, with enough energy and punch to tear down the walls of the listening room. At the same time – let me say it again – although the music is raw and rough, it is rendered in an exquisite highendish way. Alike ZZ Top, Eric Clapton, B.B. King and other classics.
The Fezz Audio Titania Mk2 s is not a niche amp for a few tube enthusiasts out there; it is an amp for everyone who is serious about high fidelity in a big way. The Titania Mk2 leaves me with a sense of exceptional sonic refinement; you can trust this amplifier with any music material and recording, because it handles it and delivers it to your ears in a way that makes it clear that the amp knows exactly what it’s doing. This delicate control over the musical material, without the amplifier attempting to interpret it or impose its own signature on the music, is usually found only in much higher price categories—the Lampizator Horizon DAC, for example, offers a similarly refined sound with a touch of the very same warm radiance. The Fezz Titania Mk2 feels like a revelation, as if the manufacturer accidentally forgot to add another zero to the price tag, and it easily qualifies as a unique product for a unique asking price. A real gem.
